It’s too easy to watch the world go by and not acknowledge what makes life truly worth living.

This morning our home woke up to a planned power outage. Many people would be so upset that they would have to make alternative arrangements to accomplish basic tasks. We prepared with a full bathtub load of water to flush the toilet and wash our faces. I was a little flustered that coffee wasn’t easily obtainable at home.

However, here I sit with my best friend drinking coffee at the nearest Starbucks. I’m not annoyed at the fact we had to leave the house and drive 25km, I’m actually grateful to get to spend this quality time with someone I care about.

Give it a shot…find something to be grateful for in every day.
